Exceptional Service at Performance Auto Repair

I had a car alignment issue and a broken pipe under the chassis, and Performance Auto Repair came to the rescue. Frank, the alignment specialist, accommodated me without an appointment when I couldn’t find help nearby, quickly resolving the issue. Beth, the shop owner, went above and beyond by immediately ordering the necessary parts and completing the pipe repair the very next day.

Not only is their service professional and efficient, but their welcoming attitude made the experience even better. Beth treated me to donuts, and her two friendly dogs added to the warm atmosphere. I’m truly grateful for their exceptional service and kindness.

Very unprofessional
Performance motors had my vehicle for over a year.
During this time they had replaced parts that I told them had already been replaced in the course of the trouble shooting process
After repeated calls to them and speaking with Tony repeatedly.
I was told my truck was finally repaired and in good running condition. The original price quoted $400. had, however, risen to a $1000. Tony, who now sounded apologetic for the long duration my truck was at their shop. Agreed to accept $700.cash.
I had to have the vehicle towed home because during the time it was in their shop the tabs had expired and I had to place it on a non Op.
The reason for the long delay in performing repairs given was that they lost track of ownership, as the original mechanic on the job was fired early on.
After getting the truck returned to my property. I found that the battery was completely dead and the gas tank was completely out of gas. I also found that now the exhaust manifold was cracked and many under the hood items were found only hand tight
( One mechanic who looked at the truck said it appeared as if they were parting it out.)
Once remedying these issues.
I found the vehicle ran worse than before I took it to them.
I made repeated attempts to offer performance motors an opportunity to correct the issues now present.They were rude and uncooperative
I would definitely not recommend a visit to them to my worst enemy. In my 40 years, living in the desert area they are the worst experience I have ever received.
How these people get any positive reviews is a mystery to me
I do see several 1* reviews similar to mine , however
No mystery at all there.
I was told they had a good reputation in the past. However, that is no longer the case.

I have been coming here off and on for several years. I've never been disappointed. They go the extra mile to make sure you're satisfied. Just took in my Land Rover for a new battery and reprogramming. Saved $300 over the price of taking it to the dealer.

Had a engine misfire. Wanted wires changed and was told no its the cylander and you need a new engine. Took it to another shop and was told they can see the wires sparking. Changed the wires. Can runs well with no misfires. I was a customer for 6 years.

Had 6 come backs on my truck, 3 days of work turned into 3 months!

- They forgot to bolt down a new engine mount.
- Forgot to resecure the skid plate and it fell off.
- They damaged my sparkplug wires.
- They took out the infotainment center and steering wheel controls
- They had to redo the lower oil pan gasket
- They had to reset my computer because the radiator fan suddenly started to run full throttle when off, wiping my updates for Android auto support.
- Just now realized another bolt was discarded holding my brake caliper in place when they checked them.

Edit to Add: On one comeback I said I now had a grinding sound. They located the grind and told me it was my transfer case, nothing to do with their work. After replacing the transfer case, I had the same issue. Come to find out, the electrical incident that led to wiping my computer and required new spark plug wires also damaged the transfer case control module. Their incompetence has cost me thousands of dollars and a year of headaches.
